One of my favorite days on the job is when I get to photograph a family with their newborn at home. These photography sessions occur during the first few weeks after delivery, when everyone is still adjusting to the newest family member. There is a simplicity about being on newborn time; you can’t help but be in the moment when life exists in 2 hour segments of eating, sleeping, and diaper changes. It’s an honor to be a documentary newborn photographer, capturing the snuggles, baby rolls, feedings, and small details. It’s also a time of quick growth – babies can look very different from one week to the next!
How My Infant Photography Sessions Work For Families
How my newborn family photography sessions work
A newborn photo session usually lasts between 1.5 - 2 hours but can be scheduled as part of a longer 3 hour documentary session. If you aren’t sure what you need, I’m more than happy to speak with you about your goals and how much time I think you will need.
Approximately 2-4 weeks after the photography session, I will send you a link to your personal online gallery of professionally edited, high-resolution images. Photo albums can be purchased separately if desired.

My newborn photography sessions will help you remember more than just how your child looked as an infant. Documentary style photography captures candid moments in time that will help you remember the feelings of this time in life. Funny gestures and mannerisms, details from your home environment, spit up on your shirt - it all comes together to tell the story of your child’s first days.

Every new parent takes thousands of photos and videos on their phone, as they should! However, when parents are always taking the pictures, they are never in the pictures.
Enjoy every day moments of being a family together without the stress of having to stop and pull out your phone. Rock your child to sleep at nap time, let your older child give the baby a bottle, go on a family walk with the dog and the stroller, knowing that I'm in the background, capturing each moment authentically and artistically.
